Georgia E. Cumings, Peru

Funeral services for Georgia Elizabeth Cumings of Peru were held Monday morning, Aug. 21, from the First Christian Church in Winterset.

Mrs. Cumings died Aug. 16 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 75 years of age.

A daughter of William and Lurrie Etta McDonald Leach, she was born July 3, 1914 in Madison County. A homemaker, she had lived in this county the past 30 years, coming here from Bondurant, Iowa. She married Lawrence Cumings Dec. 26, 1975.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Deloris Kellerup of Phoenix, Ariz., Colleen Sandquist of Adel, and Loretta Von Stein of Des Moines; two sisters, Aletha Bussanmas of Bevington and Wilda McManus of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her first husband, Donald Kinney; one brother and eight sisters.

Officiating at the funeral Monday morning was Rev. David Bauer. Burial was in Chase-McDonald Cemetery northwest of Winterset.
