C. T. CUMMINS DIED TUESDAY

Former Member of County Board of Supervisors Was 85 Years Old

Charles T. Cummins, prominent Madison county farmer and former public official here, died Tuesday, June 2 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Cummins was a life-long resident of Madison county. He was born here January 5, 1879, a son of Thomas and Elizabeth Alexander Cummins. His life was spent in farming, and he also served on the Madison county board of supervisors for two terms.

He was married April 23, 1902, to Edna Bertholf. She preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Methodist church, and the I.O.O.F. lodge.

He leaves a brother, E. W. Cummins of Winterset; and eight nieces and nephews. A brother; Frank Cummins and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Clark and Mrs. Lulu Glenn, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held this Friday from the Wilson Funeral home, at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
