Mrs. Clyde Addy

Lydia Elizabeth Walker was born October 1, 1863 in Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa. She departed this life November 5, at the age of sixty-eight years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira C. Walker. Her marriage to Clyde Addy took place January 17, 1900. Two children were born to this union: Mary Ruby and Joy Burton.

Mrs. Addy united with the United Brethren church of Jefferson township during the ministry of the Reverend J. K. Cronk. She transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian church of Winterset upon moving to this city and was faithful to the day of her death.

She bore without complaint sixteen years of suffering. For the seven last years of her life she was kept at home.

She leaves behind her husband and two children, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Agnes Crumbaker and Mrs. L. A. Alexander of Winterset, James A. Walker of Aurilla, and Seth Walker of Bevington. Those preceding her in death were a brother, W. F. Walker and a sister, Mrs. A. D. Fletcher. She leaves many other relatives and many friends.

The burial was from the church of her childhood. The Reverend W. C. Porter of Winterset had charge of the funeral services.
