Funeral services were held Thursday, April 6, from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset for Myrtle Ruth Crawford, 89, who died Tuesday, April 4, 1978, at Winterset Care Center North.
She was born November 26, 1888 in Carroll County, Mo., the daughter of Edward and Sarah Belle Leonard Anderson, and was a resident of Madison County the past 53 years.
The marriage of Mrs. Crawford to Ellis Crawford took place in October 1925, at Union Baptist Church in Norborne, Mo. The couple had no children and he preceded his wife in death in June 1950.
Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker, active in the Methodist Church, w W.S.C.S. member and Sunday School teacher for years.
Survivors include two brothers, Arthur Anderson of Carrollton, Mo. and Clarence Anderson of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ellis, Three sisters and four brothers.
Services thursday were at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Byron Ayers of Winterset First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made at the Roberts Cemetery, Adair County, Iowa.
