Thursday, June 7, 1923Claude O. Horton of Des Moines, son of the late O. M. Horton of St. Charles, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital Sunday morning, after an illness of three months.
Mr. Horton, who was 52 years old, was widely known in the southeastern part of this county, where he lived with his father who for many years was postmaster at St. Charles. For the last eighteen years Mr. Horton has been with the J. Mandelbaum & Sons department store in Des Moines and he is survived by his widow and two sons, Orvando M. (Milton) and Herbert L. (Lorenzo) Horton, both of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at St. Charles Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was made in that cemetery. He was a member of the Masonic order, being affiliated with Model 315 at St. Charles.
