Robert Fredrick Cooper Jr., 46 of Winterset died Aug. 10, 2001 at his residence.
Graveside services were held Friday Aug. 17 at McGinnis Cemetery, Crawford Township, Madison County with Pastor Bobb Barrick officiating.
Robert Cooper Jr. was born July 11, 1955, in Des Moines to Robert Frederick and Norma Jean (Thornburg) Cooper Sr. A resident of Winterset for the past 12 years, Robert had been a cook, baker and had taught tae-kwon-do.
He is survived by his father, the Rev. Robert Sr., of Redfield; his mother, Norma Jean Cooper of Winterset; two sons, Robert A. Cooper of Des Moines and Shawn B. Cooper of California; two daughters, Chrystal L. Brooks of California and Nichol Lage of Des Moines; two sisters, Janie McCallister Wells of Omaha, Neb., and Julie Rae Shiffer of Des Moines; a half-sister, Bobbi Jo Wynes of Liberty, Mol; a half-brother, Jerry P. Cooper of Korea; his grandmother, Betty Thornburg of Winterset; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
