Funeral Friday For E. W.Cooper

Edward Wayne Cooper, a farm laborer who was a native of Madison County, died Wednesday, July 7, 1976, at his home in Webster Township. He was 53 years of age.

Born September 6, 1922, Edward Cooper was the son of Joseph Cooper and Ocein Meade Cooper. He married Donna Akins on June 1, 1965.

Mr. Cooper was a World War II veteran. He lived most of his life in Madison County.

Survivors include his wife, Donna, a son, Duane Cooper of rural Winterset and a stepdaughter, Sandra Beard of Mingo, Iowa.

Also surviving are two brothers, Alvin Cooper, Chariton, Iowa; Emory Cooper, Earlham and three sisters, Mrs. C. B. (Josephine) Clark, Dexter; Mrs. John (Grace) Atkins, Rantoul, Illinois, and Mrs. Clarence (Bellezora) Lucas of Winterset.

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Edward Wayne Cooper were conducted Friday, July 9, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Updike officiating.

Military graveside services were observed by Winterset V.F.W. Post 8142.
