Francis "Frank" Watson, 78, of Earlham died March 7, 1997 of cancer at his home. Funeral services were held March 8 at Earlham Church of Christ with cremated remains being placed in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.

Mr. Watson was born in Lansing, Mich., and lived in California before moving to Earlham 12 years ago. He was a retired warehouse supervisor and World War II veteran. Mr. Watson was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ, the Earlham American Legion, and the V.F.W.

Mr. Watson is survived by one son, James Lee of Athens, Ala.; one daughter, Suzanne of Edmond, Okla.; one brother, Larry of Elkhart, Ind.; two sisters, Rosella Godin Chiunti of Lansing, Mich., and Norma Bishop of Elkhart, Ind.; two grandchildren and one niece.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa or organization of the donor's choice.
