Ora Elsie Cook, 94, of Winterset, died June 30, 1997 at the Winterset Care Center North. Graveside services will be July 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Cemetery. Pastor Doug Helton will officiate the services. Visitation will be Wednesday after 9 a.m. at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro.

She was born March 15, 1903 in Hartford to George Andrew and Effie Belle (Reither) Seams. She married Chalmer W. Cook in Des Moines on July 24, 1922. She had attended Warren County schools and was a member of the Baptist Church at Broadhorn, Truro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers and four sisters.

Surviving relatives include two nephews, and three nieces.
