Addie E. Brown, 87, of Earlham, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, of cancer complications. Funeral services were held Monday, July 7, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with a private family interment of cremains at the East Linn Cemetery near Redfield. Funeral arrangements were made by McCalley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born in Casey, Iowa and lived in Redfield before moving to Earlham 20 years ago. She worked as a nurse at the Dexter Clinic for over 30 years before retiring in 1980. She was active in American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years in the Redfield post and Rebecca Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Rogers of Earlham and Norman Rogers of Bonaparte; three step-daughters, Karen Moriarity of Des Moines, Sandy Davis of Wichita, Kan. and Connie Nolan of Adair; one step-son, Craig Brown of Lincoln, Neb.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dallas County Rescue.
