Frank Lewis Holland, 74, of Winterset, died of complications of Parkinson's Disease June 18, 1997, at his residence. Funeral services were held June 20 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Pastor Jon Gaul officiated the services and burial followed at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.

He was born to Samuel and Mary (Walker) Holland in West Branch on June 28, 1922. On September 6, 1952, he married Doris Myrtle Siglin in Woodward. He lived 13 years in Winterset, 13 years in Des Moines, 17 years in Earlham, and previously lived in West Branch. He was a member of the Moingona Lodge #633 of Des Moines, Madison Lodge #180 of Earlham, and the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Mike Holland of Des Moines; three daughters, Gloria Holland of Worth, Mo., Marla Allsup and husband Jim of Earlham, and Mary Holland of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Carl Holland, Charlie Holland of Olin; one sister, Evalena Fetters of Norwalk; one grandson, six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
