Van B. Storck, 75, of DeSoto, died of a respiratory ailment Oct. 25, 1996 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were Oct. 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter. Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.

He was born in Des Moines April 17, 1921 to Paul and Nellie Storck. He married Esther Martens on March 29, 1953 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong resident of the DeSoto area. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Men's Club as well as having served as Church Trustee, Elder and treasurer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.

Surviving relatives include his wife; and one sister-in-law, Cynthia Storck of Dallas, Texas.
