1967STEPHEN CONNOR DIED ON TUESDAY
Was Life-Long Resident of Irish Settlement in This County
Stephen M. Connor, a life-long resident of the Irish settlement in Madison county, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, at a Winterset nursing home. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Connor was born in Crawford township on Jan. 9, 1894, a son of Stephen and Mary Murray Connor. His active life was spent in farming.
Surviving are a brother, H. C. "Dewey" Connor of Cumming; and two sisters, Anna B. and Mayme Connor, both of Cumming. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Rosary services will be held this Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Collins Funeral home in Winterset. Funeral services will be hled this Thursday, at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick's church in the Irish settlement, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Daniel Clark.
