Robert Lee McDaniel, 36, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Earlham, died Nov. 23, 1996 at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, as a result of a fall from a building he was working on. Funeral services were Nov. 30 at the Earlham High School Gymnasium. Pastor Ernest Baiotto officiated the services and burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1960 in Parsons, Kansas to Delbert "Bud" and Mary Lou (Houdashelt) McDaniel. He was a 1979 graduate of Earlham High School where he was very active in sports. He married Cindy Smith on April 19, 1980. He later married Jennifer Moore on July 4, 1987. He was employed with the Brazos Roofing Co. Inc. for 15 years and he and his family moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in Jan. of 1996 to continue working with the company.

Surviving relatives include his wife, two daughters, Natasha and Shayna and one son, Cody, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Bobbie Jo McDaniel-Villotti of Waukee; his parents; two brothers, Richard McDaniel and Delbert "Beaver" McDaniel and wife Michele, all of Earlham; three sisters, Linda Rhodes and husband Rex, Barbara Brott and husband Dennis, and Brenda Coons, all of Earlham; and grandmother, Helen McDaniel of Girard, Kansas.
