FRANK EASTER Dies at 86

Funeral services for Frank Easter, a former farmer in the Truro area, will be held this Thursday, March 10, at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

Mr. Easter died March 6th, 1977, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 86 years of age.

A son of Josiah and Emma Ford Easter, he was born Dec. 4th, 1890, at Chapman, Nebraska. He was married to Emma Mary Aylsworth on Feb. 25, 1914 at Winterset.

Mr. Easter moved from a farm near Truro to Winterset 13 years ago. While residing here he served as county weed commissioner and as court bailiff.

Mr. Easter is survived by two sons, John Byron Easter of LeGrande, Iowa and Robert Easter of Des Moines; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Anderson of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Gladys Nabors of Redmond, Washington, Mrs. Ruth Spencer of Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Jean Swift of Urbandale, Iowa; also 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, William F. Easter of rural Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. Olive Dodson of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Mrs. Mildred Benjamin of Los Angeles, Calif.

Officiating at the funeral this Thursday will be the Rev. Paul Bousfield. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.
