November 10, 1976MRS. FRANK EASTER Dies at 84
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Easter, a former long-time resident of the Truro community, will be held this Thursday, November 11 at 1:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
Emma Mary Easter died November 8, 1976, at Madison Manor North, where she had been a resident for three and a half years. She was 84 years of age.
A daughter of Byron F. and Laura Douglas Aylsworth, she was born April 2, 1892, at Thurman, Iowa. She was married to Frank Easter on February 25, 1914, at Winterset.
Mrs. Easter was raised in Winterset, then moved to Truro where she and her husband lived for 46 years, moving back to Winterset 13 years ago.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Columbian Club in Winterset, and of the Thursday Girls at Truro.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, John B. Easter of LeGrande, Iowa, and Robert Easter of Des Moines; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Anderson of Arlington, Virginia, Mrs. Gladys Nabor of Redmond, Washington, Mrs. Ruth Spencer of Chula Vista, California, and Mrs. Jean Swift of Urbandale, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, George Aylsworth of Archie, Mo.
Officiating at the funeral service this Thursday will be Dr. Paul Hann. Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
