James Samuel Moon

James Samuel Moon, son of Ransom and Mary Moon, was born May 22, 1849, near Plainfield, Hendricks county, Indiana, and passed away at the home of his sister, Elizabeth Busch, November 20, 1931, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28 days.

He as a believer in Christ, brought up by Baptist parents, attended the Sunday school and meetings regularly in his young days.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sister, Elizabeth Busch of Macksburg, Iowa, two nephews, Dr. A. E. Jessup of Diagonal, Iowa; L. R. Jessup of Banning, California; four nieces, Ella Myers of Escondido, California, Vernie Busch and Pearl Bonham of Macksburg, Iowa; and Ethel Wilder, of Lorimor, Iowa. In addition to these already mentioned are seven great-nieces and four great-nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Adam Busch home south of Macksburg Sunday afternoon. They were in charge of the Rev. John T. Hall, pastor of the First Baptist church of Winterset. Burial was made in Moon cemetery.

Death of James Moon

Funeral services for James Moon were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Adam Busch home near Macksburg by Reverend John T. Hall of the Baptist church of Winterset. Burial was in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.

James Samuel Moon was born May 22, 1849, near Plainfield, Indiana. He was the son of Ransom and Mary Moon. He passed away Friday, November 20th, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Busch, being 82 years, 5 months and 28 days of age.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Busch; two nephews, Dr. A. E. Jessup of Diagonal and L. R. Jessup of Banning, California; four nieces, Ella Myers of Escondido, California; Vernie Busch and Pearl Bonham of Macksburg and Ethel Wilder of Lorimor.
