Funeral Services Held Here Tuesday From Grace Baptist Church
George E. Cline, a resident of Douglas township near Winterset, died Friday, April 19, at Madison county Memorial hospital here. He was 68 years of age, and had lived in this community the last three years.
Mr. Cline was a native of Indianola, where he was born April 3, 1895, a son of George H. and Cornelia Middleswartz Cline. His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Grace Baptist church.
Mr. Cline was married in Des Moines on April 18, 1916, to Mabel Sutphin, who survives him. He also leaves a son, the Rev. Russell E. Cline of Three Hills, Alberta, Canada; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Gould of St. Paul, Minn., and Carol Ann Cline of Winterset; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Connor of Melcher and Mrs. Irene Fudge of Cleburne, Tex.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Grace Baptist church in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Damon and the Rev. Lloyd J. Knouf. Burial was made in the Jordan cemetery at West Des Moines.
