1995Mary Frances Dunmire, 96, of Des Moines, died June 11, 1995, at Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle. Funeral services were June 14, 1995, at the Earlham Friends Church in Earlham with the Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.
She was born May 26, 1899, to Joseph B. and Harriet A. (Piester) Tarrant. She married William "Winnie" Dunmire on Jan. 12, 1921. She was a longtime Earlham resident living there 50 years before moving to Des Moines. She was a homemaker and a member of the Earlham Friends Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; a daughter; and a granddaughter.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Alfred Dunmire of Des Moines and Harry Dunmire of Blue Ridge, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
