Michael L. Gilbert, 52, of Earlham, died of a heart attack Sept. 4, 1995 at his farm in rural Madison County. Funeral services were Sept. 8 at the Earlham Church of Christ. The Rev. David Clark officiated the services and burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

He was born in Des Moines on April 30, 1943 to Verlyn L. and Margaret May (Graves) Gilbert. He was a construction worker with PAO Construction in Des Moines. He had been a lifelong resident of Madison County and the Earlham area.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving relatives include his father; one brother, Gary Gilbert of Des Moines; and two sisters, Deanna L. French of Crawford, Colo., and Judy M. Anderson of Huron, S. D.
