Lola Clear, Winterset

Lola Louise Clear, 59, of Winterset died of cancer Thursday, March 12, 1998 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services were held March 14 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset with Pastor Steve Koch officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Lola Clear was born June 2, 1938, in Des Moines to Eugene Donald and Mamie Caroline Anderson Black. She married Claude Clear April 26, 1986 in Winterset. She was a lifetime resident of Winterset and the hot lunch cook for Winterset Community Schools. She also was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Laverne Black.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Randy (wife Kim) Bruett of Winterset, Gary Clear of Afton and Rick Bruett; two daughters, Linda (husband Daniel) Pinneda and Gayla Clear, both of Ft. Worth, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials may be made to the family.
