Amy Clarkson, Pleasantville
Amy Henrietta Clarkson, 79, of Pleasantville died Oct. 13, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 16, at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville with the Rev. Jeff Flagg officiating.
Amy Clarkson was born Oct. 18, 1923, to Bernus A. and Ida (Yttre) Soli of Bentley, N.D. She spent her youth in Bentley. On April 4, 1945, she married Robert Clarkson in Seattle, Wash. While in Seattle, Amy worked as a registered nurse. The family later moved to Winterset where she continued her nursing career at Madison County Memorial Hospital for 31 years. Upon her retirement in 1981, they moved to Stockton, Mo. In 1998, she moved to the Pleasantville home of her daughter and son-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; and siblings Verna Rice, Alma Kemmer, Esther Ebert, Stan Soli and Tilman Soli.
She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Royer of Peoria, Ill., Kathy Thompson of Omaha, Neb., Debbie Clarkson of Rockaway Beach, Mo., and Nancy Baker of Pleasantville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been set up in her name.
