Isabella F. Johnson, 92, of Winterset died April 30, 2006, at Winterset Care Center South.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Winterset Cemetery.

Isabella Johnson was born Aug. 3, 1913, in Lachine Quebec, Canada, to Ernest and Henrietta (Cater) Norman. Her first marriage was to George Lipe. She was later married to William Thrash and then Allen “John” Johnson. Isabella worked as a dental technician in Michigan before retiring as a homemaker in Winterset. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, William Thrash; two brothers, Richard Norman and Robert Norman; and a sister, Winifred Ford.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Howell-Harris of Winterset; two sons, Robert Lipe of Bloomingdale, Ga., and Vernon Thrash of Alabama; and 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church or Middle River Hospice, both of Winterset.
