Sophia Clark, Winterset

Sophia Eva Clark, 92, died March 16, 2003, of multiple organ system failure at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 19) at McDonald-Chase Cemetery, Douglas Township, Madison County with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating.

Sophia Clark was born Nov. 10, 1910 in Madison County to Elias and Sara (Diser) Pritchard. On March 10, 1932, she married Clarence Clark in Maryville, Mo. Sophia, a lifetime resident of Madison County, had worked as a housekeeper. She also was a member of the First Christian Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald Clark; 11 brothers; and five sisters.

Memorial contributions may be directed to McDonald-Chase Cemetery Association.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
