Opal Pauline Clark, Winterset

Funeral services for Opal Pauline Clark, 83, were held Mon., April 1 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. She died March 28 at Care Center South.

Born in Dallas Center March 4, 1908 to William and Philena (McGee) Sumpter, she had lived in Van Meter before moving to Winterset 12 years ago. She married LeRoy A. Clark June 25, 1929 in Des Moines. She was the retired head housekeeper at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines, and was a member of the Methodist Church in Van Meter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Sharilyn Snelson of Winterset; two sons, Charles L. of Winterset and Robert Wayne of Prairie City; a sister, Lucille Bartmess of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
