Wednesday, December 17, 1980Funeral Monday For Mary Clark
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Dec. 15, from Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Mary Elizabeth Clark, a long-time resident of Madison County.
Mrs. Clark died Dec. 12 at Madison County Memorial hospital. She was 97 years of age.
A daughter of Elisha and Tobitha Reigle Eggleston, she was born July 31, 1883 at Melvern, Kansas.
On Oct. 12, 1904 she was married to Claude C. Clark. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1964.
A homemaker, Mrs. Clark lived most of her lifetime in Madison county.
She is survived by two sons, Paul of Marshalltown, Iowa and LeRoy of Winterset; a daughter, Loraine Pickens of Truro; a sister, Lovisa Gentry of St. Louis, Mo.; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the Monday service was Rev. David Livingston. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
