Wednesday, December 30, 1970LILY McDONALD Of Winterset Dies
Lily B. McDonald of near Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1970, at Americana Nursing center in Des Moines. She was 73 years of age.
Miss McDonald was a daughter of Joseph and Teressa McAllister McDonald. She was born in Douglas township Oct. 27, 1897.
She was a member of the First United Methodist church of Winterset. She was active in the Women's Society for Christian Service of that church, and of the Madison county Farm Bureau.
Nearest surviving relatives are a sister, Ella McDonald of Winterset, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Newton Coughenour, pastor of the First United Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the McDonald-Chase cemetery.
