Services for Charles Robert Clark, 85, Truro, who died Oct. 7 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, were held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Christian Church at Truro with the Rev. Janne Clinton officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born in Warren County, the son of Charles and Margaret Picken Clark. He married Mabel Pearl Hess at Peru on May 6, 1919 and the couple had 10 children. He was a farmer and later drove a school bus for 21 years.
Mr. Clark lived in the St. Charles area most of his life and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of St. Charles.
Survivors include daughters, Edna Shreves of St. Charles, Lyla Waller and husband Harold of Winterset, Norma Lunnon and husband Larry of Fullerton, Calif., Celo Roby and husband Paul Jr. of Red Oak, Dorthea Edmunds and husband Willia of Anaheim, Calif., and Judith Bedwell and husband Ross of St. Charles; sons, Charles Jr., and wife Marianne of Beatrice Neb.; Norman and wife Nancy of Winterset, Phillip and wife Carol of Truro, and Jerry and wife Charlotte of Truro; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother F. P. Clark of Mt. Ayr.
