WALTER CHASE DIES AT GUTHRIE CENTER

Walter Chase, a native of Madison county, died Saturday June 18, at Guthrie Center, He was 70 years of age.

Mr. Chase had lived at Stuart the last 30 years, and had been in failing health the last 7 years.

Surviving are his wife, Edith; a daughter, Dorothy; and three grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death in 1922. He also leaves five sisters, Ella Kennedy of Idaho, Grace Cross of Colorado, Ida Cutshall of Van Meter, Mary Meyer and Pearl Shaw of Winterset; and two brothers, Earl Chase of Adel and Harold Chase of California.

Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery Tuesday.
