Eunice Viola Chase, Winterset

Services for Eunice Viola Chase, 78, Winterset, who died Dec. 25 at the Care Center North, were held Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 28, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Chase-McDonald Cemetery.

Born at Mason City, Neb., on Aug. 7, 1905, she was the daughter of John and Mary Mulvany Wright. She married Verl A. Chase on Sept. 26, 1934 at Broken Bow, Neb., and spent most of her life as a homemaker.

Mrs. Chase lived in Winterset for 41 years, moving here from Dexter. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winterset, the United Methodist Women, the Farm Bureau and the Sixty-Plus Club.

Survivors include sons, John E. Chase of Omaha, and Verl A. Chase, Jr., of Bellevue, Neb.; a daughter, Marilyn Tobey of Des Moines; sisters, Mary E. Akin and Addie Taylor, both of Mason City Neb., and Naoma Campfield of Williford, Ark.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister.
