MRS. ALBERT STRONG DIES

Word has been received here of the sudden death of Mrs. Albert Strong of Fort Dodge at Winona, Minnesota on April 16th. She had been living with her niece, Mrs. Albert Rau of Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Strong was a former resident of Winterset, but for the past thirty-six years has been living in Fort Dodge. She was Miss Effie Lyons before her marriage, and was raised in Winterset, having moved here with her parents when she was a young woman. She was a charter member of the local chapter of P. E. O.

Mr. Strong was editor of the Madisonian for more than eleven years, having bought an interest in the paper in 1888. Later he and his son Fred were the sole owners for about one year when they sold it to Homer Thompson and Ed M. Smith, in 1899. It was shortly after this that the Strongs moved to Fort Dodge. Mr. Strong died two years ago.
