William I. Case, a life-long resident of the Winterset community and one of its best known citizens over a long period of years, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Veterans' hospital in Des Moines. He was 77 years of age.

Following that war he was employed at the Winterset postoffice for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Case never married. He is survived by a brother, Ersie N. Case of Hancock and by three nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
