Dale Carpenter, Winterset

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Collins Funeral Home for Dale Raymond Carpenter of Winterset, who died Feb. 13 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 49 years old.

Born in Des Moines on September 6, 1932, he was the son of Orville and Garnett Finch Carpenter.

He was a veteran, serving in the army during the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver for Cooper Truck Lines at the time of his death.

Survivors include his mother and father, both of Winterset; three sons, Roger Carpenter, a student in Mitchell, S.D. and Raymond and Steven Carpenter of Winterset; and a brother, Everett Carpenter of Winterset.

Military graveside services were provided by V.F.W. Post 8142 at St. Charles Cemetery.
