Veteran of First World War Was 73 Years Old At His Death
Wilbur F. Busch, a well-known Madison county farmer and truck operator, died Friday, Oct. 14, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Busch was a native of Ohio, where he was born in Brown county on Nov. 5, 1886, a son of Andrew and Charlotte Berry Busch. He came to Madison county with his parents when he was 7 years old, and this county remained his home during his life-time, except for a few years following World War I, when he lived in Ottumwa.
He was a veteran of the first World War
Mr. Busch never married. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters, Elmer E. Busch of Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, Canada, Louis A. Busch of Yoder, Colo., Mrs. Mary Kivett of Osceola, Mrs. Gladys Augustine of Longville, Minn., Mrs. Grace Kivett of Orient, Carl Busch of Casey and Stanley Busch of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from Wesley chapel in charge of the Rev. Earl Kelly. Burial was made, with military honors, in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
