Mrs. Mary Burns Dies In California

Mrs. Mary Burns of Patterson, N. J., mother of Mrs. John K. Sawyer of Winterset, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, while visiting another daughter, Mrs. John Hoyt, at Brentwood, Calif.

Mrs. Burns had stopped in Winterset for several day last week, enroute from New Jersey to California, to visit at the home of her daughter here.

The body of Mrs. Burns will be returned to Winterset for burial here. A funeral mass will be said in California, and plans are being made for a grave-side service to be held in the Winterset cemetery in charge of the Rev. J. J. Judge of St. Joseph's Catholic church. Exact date of these services is not definite yet.
