Glen Burnett, Winterset

Glen Burnett, 89, of Winterset, died Nov. 26, 1994 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Nov. 29, 1994 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Don Frank officiated with burial at the Union Cemetery in Clarke County.

He was born Sept. 30, 1905 in Champaign, Ill. to Charles and Margaret (Clauser) Burnett. He married Bessie Pauline Simmerman in Osceola on July 22, 1925. He was a retired farmer and had been a resident of Madison county for the last 66 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one brother; and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Marlene Fettkether of Winterset; one brother, Charles Burnett of Virginia; two sisters, Inez Gray of Rockford, Ill., and Mildred Johnson of Murray; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and one great-great-grandson.
