Myrtle F. Thrailkill
September 5, 1903 - October 29, 1979

Myrtle F. Thrailkill, the daughter of Ervin and Millie Carrington Boyle, was born September 5, 1903 near Dexter, Iowa. She passed away at Earlham Manor Care Center on October 29, 1979.

Myrtle grew up in the Dexter community and graduated from Dexter High School in 1922.

On November 2, 1924 Myrtle was united in marriage to Chas. A. Thrailkill at the home of her parents south of Dexter. Myrtle and Charles spent their life together farming in Madison County. Five children blessed their marriage. In 1956 they retired to Earlham.

Myrtle was a member of the Earlham Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Earlham.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Charlie; five children, Mrs. Mary Meyers of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, John and Wayne of Earlham, Mrs. Carol Claussen of Ogden, Iowa and Mrs. Helen Hollowell of Monument, Colorado; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sister, Mrs. Bulah Schieibe of Villa Park, Illinois and Mrs. Carol Binns of Adel and one brother, Morris Boyle of Dexter.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson and one great grandchild.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Earlham, October 31, 1979 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Robert G. Farr officiating. Interment was at the Earlham Cemetery.
