Thomas D. Brown died early Monday morning, September 25th at the home of his sister, Mrs. Thomas James, in the Union Chapel neighborhood. Mr. Brown had been blind for a number of years, but a heart attack caused his death.
He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brown. Following the death of his parents, he resided for awhile with his brother, Sam Brown, but during the recent years he has resided with his sister, Mrs. James. In addition to this brother and sister, he leaves another sister, Mrs. Anna Crow of Winterset.
The Rev. Frank Moore a former pastor of the Patterson church conducted his funeral services at the Union Chapel church Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock, and burial was in the Union Chapel cemetery.
Two nieces, Mrs. Alfred Drake and Mrs. H. S. Bertholf of Winterset drove down for the services.
