YOUNG WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Arthur Brown Dies at Her Home Monday in Patterson

Mrs. Arthur Brown, mother of four young children, died suddenly at her home in Patterson Monday, Feb. 27, following a heart attack. She was 37 years of age.

Mrs. Brown had been a resident of Madison county the last 20 years. She was from Wappelo county, where she was born April 27, 1923. She was the former Sarah Elizabeth Overturf, daughter of Harry and Emma Furgeson Overturf.

She attended high school in Ottumwa, and was married June 1, 1942 at Grant City, Mo. to Arthur S. Brown.

Surviving are husband; four children, Samuel Glen, Dennis Dean, Garry Lee and Diana Kay, all at home; her step-father, Leo Terrell of Ottumwa; two brothers, Steven and George Overturf of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Swanson of Ottumwa and Mrs. Martha McDonald of Winterset.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Patterson Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. David Pease of Owenco, Ill., and the Rev. William C. Trembly of Patterson. Burial will be made in Union Chapel cemetery.
