Graveside services for Donald H. Brown, 77, Winterset, who died Sept. 15 at Care Center North, were held Monday,Sept. 18, at Maple Hill Cemetery at Cromwell, Iowa, with the Rev. John Tunnicliff of Afton officiating.

Born in Creston on Dec. 5, 1911, he was the son of Richard and Nettie Dewey Brown. He was married to Cora Holiday on Nov. 5, 1941 at Grant City, Mo.

Mr. Brown was an auto mechanic and had formerly lived in Adel, Ft. Dodge and Humboldt.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Ruth Libby and husband of New Paris, Ohio; a brother, Raymond and wife Edna of Creston; and a sister Marie White and husband Lawrence of Greene, N.Y..

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother.
