Graveside services for Cecil Lester Bridges, 82, Lincoln, Neb., who died Aug. 3 at his residence, were held Thursday, Aug. 11 at the Winterset Cemetery with elder James King officiating.
Born Dec. 7, 1905 at Cooper, Iowa, he was the son of Austin and Henrietta Frye Bridges. He farmed in Madison County prior to moving to Lincoln in 1951 where he worked for Fulton's Market.
Mr. Bridges was a member of the Piedmont Park Seven-Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathrine Grove Bridges of Lincoln; a son, Cecil A. Bridges of Craig, Colo.; a foster son, Scott A. Phillips of Ft. Stewart, Ga.; sisters, Lois Clock of Palm Springs, Calif., and Alta Rinard of Winterset; two grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
