YOUNG MOTHER DIES AT 33 YEARS

Mrs. Kenneth Bricker Died Tuesday at Des Moines Hospital

Mrs. Kenneth Bricker of Madison township died this Tuesday Jan. 2, at a Des Moines hospital, at the age of 33 years.

Mrs. Bricker was the former Ethel Marie Carter, daughter of Horace and Ethel Masters Carter. She was born near Afton, in Union county, on June 26, 1928, but lived most of her early life at Macksburg, where she graduated from high school. She attended the Methodist church there.

She was married Oct. 10, 1947, to Kenneth Bricker of Earlham.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Keith, aged 13, Raymond, aged 11, and Phillip, aged 5 years. She also leaves a brother Adran Carter of Des Moines; and six sisters, Mrs. Wauneta Lewis and Mrs. Verda Dudney of Lorimor, Mrs. Avis Christensen of California; Mrs. Margaret Robinson of Ottumwa, Mrs. Ada Bennett of Knoxville and Amanda Reed of Creston.

Funeral services will be held this Friday from the Collins Funeral home at Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Donald Frank. Burial will be made in the Penn Center cemetery.

Mrs. Kenneth Bricker Passed Away Tues.

Mrs. Kenneth Bricker of Earlham passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon, January 2, at the Des Moines General hospital.

Mrs. Bricker hadn’t been feeling well for some time and had entered the hospital last Friday. Sunday her condition became worse, but her sudden death has been a shock to both family and friends.

Mr. Bricker farms about seven miles southeast of Earlham and the young couple had three young children.

Funeral arrangements are still pending at the present time.
