1979Former Resident Dies In California
John R. Bridenstine passed away at his home in Anheim, California, January 21st after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 1, 1912 the son of Harvey S. and Grace Bridenstine. He graduated from the Winterset High School and attended the University of Iowa for a short time.
He is survived by his wife, Esther, a step-son Paul Christensen of Santa Barbara, California, two brothers, Reese W. Bridenstine of Winterset and Dr. Harvey Bridenstine of West Des Moines, two nieces Patricia Jean Bridenstine of West Des Moines and Mrs. David Carson of Farmington Hills, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ruth Williams who died May 1969.
Recitation of The Rosary was Tuesday, January 23, and the funeral Mass in St. Mary's Catholic Church Wednesday, January 24th, in Fullerton, California. Burial was in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, California.
Dr. and Mrs. Harvey Bridenstine and daughter Patricia attended the services.
