Earl Bricker, Winterset

Earl Emery Bricker, a long-time Madison county resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 83 years old.

Born March 17, 1898 in Madison county, he was the son of Augustus and Ella May Taylor Bricker.

On Dec. 27, 1923, he married Phyllis Belle Brittain in Earlham. Mrs. Bricker died in 1962.

Mr. Bricker was a farmer, retiring in 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pat Cline of Winterset; a brother, Herschel Bricker of Farmington, Maine; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 4, at Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Updike officiating.

Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery.
