CHARLES BRICKER DIES AT 80 YEARS

Charles R. Bricker of Winterset, a retired Madison township farmer, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Bricker was born in Penn township Dec. 12, 1889, a son of Melvin A. and Ella Taylor Bricker. He served in the U. S. armed forces during World War I.

He was married at Winterset on March 15, 1920, to Mabel Bridges, who survives him.

Mr. Bricker's active life was spent in farming in Madison township. He had moved to Winterset in 1947.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Mrs. Celia L. Smith of Winterset and Kenneth Bricker of Earlham; three grandsons; and three brothers, Herschel Bricker of Maine, Earl Bricker of Ida Grove and Walter Bricker of Adel.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.
