1962HAROLD BREAKENRIDGE DIED LAST WEDNESDAY
Dr. Harold Breakenridge, a Winterset veterinarian for many years, died last Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Houston, Tex., where he had been living in recent years. His death resulted from a sudden heart attack. He was 69 years of age.
Doctor Breakenridge was born in Penn township Sept. 14, 1893, a son of Jim and Helen Perkins Breakenridge. He graduated from Winterset high school and the Iowa State university in Ames. He practiced veterinary medicine at Winterset for a number of years, leaving here about 30 years ago.
He was married here to the former Mardicie Howell, who preceded him in death. He later remarried and his second wife survives him.
He also leaves a daughter, Marilyn Wendland of Madison, Wisc., and a grandson, born Nov. 21.
Funeral services and burial were held Saturday at Houston.
