FORMER MACKSBURG RESIDENT DIES

Jerome M. Breakenridge of Orient, a former resident of the Macksburg community died Aug. 14 at a Creston hospital. He was 62 years of age.

Mr. Breakenridge had lived in Orient for the last five years, and had been in failing health for several years. However, his death came unexpectedly.

He was a native of Adair county, where he was born Oct. 30, 1904, a son of Marion and Sadie Miller Breakenridge. He was married to Irene Porter on June 8, 1927. For the next 34 years, they lived in Madison county, where he engaged in farming and livestock raising. They moved to Orient in 1962.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Orlo Ott of Charleston, S.Car.; a son, Ralph Breakenridge of Macksburg; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Jess Blazek and a brother George Breakenridge, both of Creston.
