Mary Elizabeth Boyle, 75, of Earlham died of cancer April 27, 1999 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 1, at Penn Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery.
Mary Elizabeth Boyle was born Nov. 27, 1923, to Roy W. and Lulu Belle (Bilderback) Fry. On Feb. 13, 1944, she married Lester G. Boyle. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Lester died in July of 1994. Mary was a member of the Earlham Art Group, Penn Center UMW, Penn Center United Methodist Church, and had served as youth conselor for the MYF youth group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.
She is survived by one son, Nick Boyle; one daughter, Charlotte Walker; one sister, Kathryn Stumpenhorst of Des Moines; one brother, Robert Fry of Oak Park, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham.
