MRS. ELSIE BOYER RITES IN CALIFORNIA

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Chace Boyer, of Long Beach, a native of Madison county, who died August 17th, were held Tuesday at the Patterson-Snively Mortuary, in Long Beach. Interment was in the Hollywood Park cemetery in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Boyer was born in Douglas township, October 28, 1880, the eldest daughter of William Asa Chace and Viola Rutledge Chase, Madison county pioneers. She has resided in California since 1923.

For many years she served as a practical nurse for Drs. Wallace and Pindle. December 25, 1925, she was married to Eugene F. Boyer, who preceded her in death in October 1953.

She is survived by a brother, Lee Chace and a sister, Mrs. Edna Griffith, both of Winterset, as well as a number of nieces and nephews in this area.

She also leaves two nephews, Cecil L. Chace of Hawthorne and Clarence W. Chace of Long Beach, and a niece, Mrs. Mary Busch of Long Beach.
