Etta Edith Boughton, 86, died Friday, August 30, at the Winterset Care Center South. She was born July 30, 1891, in St. Charles. The daughter of Elias and Joann Wagner Miller, Etta was educated in Madison county schools.
On May 20, 1911, she married Chester Allen Boughton in St. Charles. Mrs. Boughton was a member of the Methodist Church at St. Charles.
She is survived by her children; Leona Hurt of Murray, Elias Boughton of Laconia, N.H., Mary Stalcup of Lorimor, Loren Boughton of Booneville, and Elda Gregory of Des Moines. Survivors also include two sisters, Retta Lathrum of Des Moines and Susie Hogue of Peru; a brother Alva Miller of St. Charles; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
